NCFlyPorts
Announces “Business Day-Travelers” Program with SATSair
for
Day Trips to/from Raleigh, North Carolina
RALEIGH,
NC May 6, 2009
North
Carolina’s NCFlyPorts Program announced today the latest in air
service availability for North Carolinians. The program provided by
SATSair, a provider of customized “on-demand” air taxi service in
the United States since 2004, is called “Business Day-Travelers”
and offers special rates for one day trips out of Raleigh, North
Carolina.
“Business
Day-Travelers” will enable business professionals in the Raleigh
market to improve their productivity by doing more business
throughout North Carolina and the Southeast in less time. Operating
from the General Aviation Terminal at the Raleigh-Durham
International Airport (RDU), these customer-designed trips will be
offered at the special rate of $495 per hour for the entire aircraft,
not just per seat. Using the modern, fast and comfortable Cirrus
SR-22 aircraft, SATSair’s “Business Day-Travelers” program will
pick up passengers at RDU, take them directly to the airport nearest
their destination, and return within a 12 hour window.
“During
these hard economic times, making long term contractual commitments
for corporate air
travel
may be challenging for some companies. The SATSair mission is to
provide the best value in
point-to-point
personal air transportation – and at this special price, more
business professionals can enjoy the convenience and efficiency our
service provides,” said Phil Quist, Vice President of Business
Systems, SATSair. “Our program will allow companies in the Triangle
to conduct out of town business meetings anywhere up and down the
east coast – and be home that night.”
SATSair’s
“Business Day-Travelers” program provides the benefits of a
personal private aircraft: no standing in line or connections at
major airports to get to your destination, and no long drives to
business meetings. “Business Day-Travelers” will have the
advantage of using SATSair’s fleet of 26 Cirrus SR-22 aircraft to
fly across the Southeast at a discounted rate. “Using RDU’s
comfortable and convenient private terminal, adjacent parking is only
a few steps away. You need only arrive 15 minutes before your
departure time, and our pilot greets you, leads you to your plane,
and flies you non-stop to your destination. Business travel has
never been so civilized,” said Quist.
SATSair,
a provider of “Air Taxi” services since 2004, flew over 300
flights in and out of Raleigh-Durham International Airport last year
alone. SATSair offers business professionals a travel tool that will
maximize productivity, promote customer relationships and expand
business revenue potential.
“Air
service promotes economic development. Raleigh/Durham’s extensive
availability of scheduled air transportation has made it an
outstanding asset for the community,” commented Dave Thomas, Air
Service Program Manager with the NCDOT Division of Aviation. “The
on-demand SATSair product and other charter services add a new
dimension from RDU for business professionals looking for a more
convenient and economical way to travel – including to those eleven
North Carolina communities participating in the Small Community Air
Service Development Program supported by NCDOT and USDOT.”
In
addition to the special fares from Raleigh, SATSair is also offering
discounted fares from the eleven airports across the state who
participate in the Aviation Division’s NCFlyPorts Program. $100
off the already low everyday fares offered by SATSair will be
available from several regions. In the mountain communities, the
special fares will be offered from Andrews-Murphy Regional Airport
and Rutherford County Airport. The central region of the state
includes airport participants for Clinton-Sampson County Airport,
Duplin County Airport, Rocky Mount – Wilson Regional Airport and
Stanly County Airport. Fly to and from the Outer Banks for
discounted rates at Dare County Airport (Manteo), Currituck County
Regional Airport, Northeastern Regional Airport (Edenton), and
Elizabeth City Regional Airport. In the southern beach areas which
include Oak Island/Southport/Bald Head, Brunswick County Airport will
also have the special fares.
SATSair
is not the only carrier participating in the NCFlyPorts Program for
North Carolina. Shelly Reams, Principal, NCFlyPorts states, “We
also work extensively with very reputable flight companies like
FlightGest, Jet Pool, Imagine Air, and SkyWay - just to name a few.”
The NCFlyPorts Program’s goal is to increase availability and
awareness of reasonable air service to everyday business and leisure
travelers, from point-to-point locations. “On-demand air service
is not just for the jet-set rich and famous crowd; these carriers aim
their sites toward prudent business travelers who find that
additional time spent on the road is more costly to their bottom line
and lightens the stress load and wear and tear on the staff of their
companies.” Reams adds, “Point to point travel is becoming
reasonable to vacationers who just want to get more vacation time
from their vacation!” Ms. Reams also said that there are extensive
carrier capabilities available throughout North Carolina and there
will be more special offers provided by the host of flight companies
participating in the NCFlyPorts program. The best way to check for
updates is by visiting NCFlyPorts.com.
